The artist I studied was Rene Magritte. My favorite painting by Rene Magritte is called "The Promise". I created my own masterpiece inspired by this artist. My painting is called "The Heart of the Sky". Magritte worked in France and Belgium in the 1900's and died in 1967. One thing that shocked me about Magritte is that his mother committed suicide in 1912 by drowning herself in the Sambre River.Friday, March 12, 2010
