MATISSE by Fiona, 5th grade

The artist I studied is Matisse. My favorite painting by Matisse is called "Composition, Blue Background". I created my own painting inspired by this art. It is called "Rainbow Clovers". Matisse worked in France in the late 1800's and early 1900's. He lived to be 85 years old. Matisse found his life's dream of becoming an artist when he was a young man and was sick in bed. His mother gave him paints to pass the time and he painted and created art for the rest of his life.
